Guests were treated to one-of-a-kind experiences by renowned brands in luxury lifestyle – from yachts, classic cars and supercars to high-end properties, art, fine wines and gastronomy over four days.
Visitors were introduced to world-renowned brand showcases offering unique customisation options. Yachts, properties, supercars and classic cars, art and fashion, fine jewellery, curated leather goods and handmade watches were put on display; whilst participating vendors offered a great selection of wining and dining options.
Aimed at the regional market, Penang Rendezvous offered a competitively-priced, advantage-laden forum for trade buyers, retailers, importers and HNWIs in South East Asia. Exhibitors also benefited from extensive marketing and advertisement campaigns, which helped to connect their business to a wider audience online and offline.
Thousands of visitors attended the first day of the event this year, including Malaysia’s affluent families and friends, property investors, yacht buyers, fashion enthusiasts, watch collectors, car lovers, art aficionados, and business decision-makers.
The event took place at the scenic Straits Quay Marina. Straits Quay is a picturesque sea-fronting space for the local community and festive events, as well as a favoured venue for the arts and leisure crowd. Unlike other marinas in other parts of the world, the Straits Quay Marina is of modest size and designed to cater to not only the avid boating community, but also the general public.
“Straits Quay Marina has hosted several nautical and lifestyle events in the past, where featured elements include luxury cars, motorbikes and a light aircraft! Events like these are popular with both locals and tourists alike – be it an opportunity for the boating enthusiasts to invest or upgrade their interests or for the community at large to come and marvel at these leisure beauties up close. So, naturally, we are very excited to be hosting Penang Rendezvous as we believe the reception will be even greater.” said Emily Teh, Senior General Manager, Group Projects & Property Investment at Eastern & Oriental Berhad (the proprietor of Straits Quay Marina).
Some of the luxury sponsors associated with Penang Rendezvous include Kronenbourg, Leopard Catamarans, Martell, Bentley, Pen Marine and many more.
Apart from the luxury lifestyle, there was one new and exciting concept that fueled the Penang Rendezvous event; and that was cryptocurrency. With the rising prominence of cryptocurrency in today’s market, the luxury lifestyle industry have begun taking steps to incorporate cryptocurrency as a powerful method of investment and obtaining said lifestyle.
Aditus, the world's first luxury access platform for crypto-affluents, were one of the many sponsors of Penang Rendezvous. They also hosted a number of seminars that delved into the lucrative world of cryptocurrency. These seminars included big names in the crypto industry such as Jason Chew (EMPOWER), Harpreet Singh (Blocklime), Rene Bernard, Julian Vettermann and Sheng Yeong (LUXTAG) and was hosted by Freda Liu of BFM.
Asia Rendezvous will continue its focus to strengthen its position as the premier luxury lifestyle event and is always seeking to secure more anchors and partners to enhance global collaborations.
