The pandemic meant a vast number of businesses and companies were forced to embrace online working temporarily for safety reasons. It was also noticed though online job platforms (eg, Careejet, Jobstreet) that there is an accelerating number of companies offering temporary remote jobs.
But what would it be like if you had to work from home permanently?
Putting health concerns aside, even this temporary remote work experience has led to a big controversy. People are wrangling over whether home working would wither away motivation, productivity, innovation and workplace culture.
Despite that, some strongly assert working from home would be beneficial for all because it saves time, avoids stressful office politics, and even gives a positive environmental impact as there is no need to commute to work.
