Craig J Selby

Managing Director


Craig is a long-time proponent of structured and measured change. Renowned for the shaping of clever ideas to help brands stand out amidst the clutter, his stable of achievements encompass a multitude of clients across varying industries, ranging from automotive to food & beverage to healthcare to FMCG to consumer electronics and more. Craig led the creation of Chocolate Box PR, a public relations empowerment tool for start-ups and SMEs.

He started his career lecturing on economics, marketing and management at a variety of tertiary institutions, where he rapidly moved up to head several private sector institutes. Craig then formed his own consultancy and was engaged as a trouble-shooter - responsible for internal auditing, restructuring and redevelopment of departments and institutes to stay at the forefront of a highly competitive market. This motivated him to branch out and work with other industries, focusing on change and development as a core theme in business continuity. Craig co-founded Orchan Consulting | Asia Sdn Bhd in 2009 - with the mission to orchestrate change for clients.

Craig is an enthusiastic and interactive trainer who hones in on his audience needs. Each presentation is crafted not only for the specific group but also to highlight latest research and industry practices in an approachable and realistic fashion.

A leading curator in the delivery of strategic solutions, Craig's particular areas of interest include but are not limited to issues and crisis management as well as personal branding. A highly-learned and well-travelled scholar with the experience and intellect to match, his post-graduate qualifications cover the fields of Globalisation, Economic Development as well as Tertiary Teaching & Management. Meanwhile, his undergraduate degree in Socio-Cultural Geography is backed by the additional support of Adult Education credentials.

 Twenty years have passed since Farrell Tan’s immersion in the communications industry first took root. What began as an entry-level vocation in advertising back in 1997, has since evolved into a highly-decorated career pillared by strong business acumen and an enviable knack for headship. Today, the same trailblazing spirit persists, but at a greatly magnified degree.

With a diverse skill-set encompassing account servicing, brand management, crisis communication, campaign ideation, creative conceptualisation, corporate communication, change management, event planning, sponsorship acquisition, government relations and more, tucked under his belt, the Orchan Consulting | Asia Founding Director’s client servicing prowess and strategic direction are incomparable.

A thinker equipped with the foresight of an inspired builder, his passion for leading the charge on change defines the very outline of the entrepreneur’s blueprint for best-in-class success and domination. The establishment of his specialist agency in 2009, is the ultimate realisation of Tan’s dream to spearhead innovation.

Through Orchan Consulting I Asia Sdn Bhd, Farrell has spearheaded campaigns for PUMA, MEPS, Staedtler, Mayland Properties, Martell, Timberland, Forever 21, ARA Asset Management Ltd, Peugeot, Servcorp, Dyson, Kao, UNICEF, GARMIN, Red Bull of Europe, Sunway Medical Centre among other local and international brands.
